simple. Its because they do not believe it cost effective. They have to pay for license of windows mobile 6.1 etc etc etc etc.
suns8360, u're wrong about them not recommending it, honestly, HTC really knows crap about modding pdas, their technicians dont know much, i've used 6.1 on Touch Cruise and no problem, damn fast. Hell, even the cooked roms for tytn2 outperform the official rom. thats how sucky the official HTC roms are. @jonrwg, google XDA developers forum and go download and read up on cooked roms |

Ours would be the WWE version right?suns8360, u're wrong about them not recommending it, honestly, HTC really knows crap about modding pdas, their technicians dont know much, i've used 6.1 on Touch Cruise and no problem, damn fast. NO risk No gain... but theory also said ... Take risk on your own accord,,,, anywrong on your HTC TC ... you only have "YOU" to be blame.... |

Sometime, engineer thinking is a bit different with user thinking. that's why we modded. Just my personal view only.we as a "USER" always like to modify things that are "BEYOND" the recommended by the maker ... that's is human nature ... but honestly ... this HTC TC is just running well with wm 6.0 why bother "taking the risk of The Unknow"..... yaaahhh theory said .... Was reading XDA and noticed how a lot of buyers have had their screen cracked etc. Is it very common in PDA phones or is it just TC? Any forumers have had this problem?

I got an issue with my TC. If I locked the device, then there is a slim chance that I couldn't unlock it back again.
The symptom : the 'Unlock' word is untouchable due to being replaced by 'Notification'. It happen if the PDA is in 'Device Locked' mode and there is a notice that i miss call or new sms just coming in. If i touch the 'Notification' then the notice gone and replace by 'Calendar'. Touch the 'Calendar' and nothing happen. So, the 'Unlock' word just dissappear! The interim solution : Reset the PDA. Occurence : 3 times since bought it in April 2008. Anyone having this kind of problem? Help! |

Hey, just wondering... Can this device print directly from the PDA without having to be synchronized with the computer first? I mean connect directly to the printer through USB Cable (preferably this one) or Bluetooth printers?

Hie guys i need help.Sometimes when a device is too high tech, its becomes irritating.
When i send out sms, there is always this notification telling me that the sms has been successfully sent.Is there anyway of switching it off ? Because its kinda irritating.. Another ques is,sometimes my TC will automatically connect to the Maxis 3G network. Is there any way i can set it so that it will not simply connect cause sometimes it connects and downloads things i dont need and wan and it cost alot. Another ques,in the TC background there are four panels, one is a house logo, another is to check the weather, and another two more. Can i remove the weather function cause everytime i accidentally click there it will connect to Maxis 3G network and download the data..Very irritating.. |

kevin,
1. in the place where u type sms. go to menu > options, should be right softkey, untick "request message delivery nitifcation" 2. and 3. For both solutions head over to XDA Developers forum. google. solution is device specific and i cant remember how to do it for your phone but pretty easy. |

the weather panel CAN be removed. as well as new tabs, up to 6 if i'm correct, can be added to your HTC Today. U need HTC Customiser or manually tweak registry. i've done it before.
