If do online, got chance your photo might get rejected, wasting money. Go there and do have to queue, but if you go early should not take too long.

I renew mine 2 weeks ago and Jalan Duta branch and it only took me an hour.

Buat online, then kutip on-spot
cannot walk in for application, only pickup

Edit: Obviously all branches has different operandi, i renewed 2023 tak bagi walk-in, ask me go back buat online CB betul

Do online faster, just go and collect passport. If do on the spot have to get number and longer time, some more the amount of number is limited for each imigresen branch

This depends where you go... some really crowded even before covid.

Some as in Kuantan and port Klang, before covid, can get the passport after lunch if go morning or collect it next day if go after lunch.

The latest one, done in Banting last year, walk-in at eight, got it by 10.

The process already revamped and quicken a lot. Photo can be taken on the spot within seconds and the passport printed and binded in a couple of minutes.

Guess immigration has to open a few more branches in Klang valley... just like banks with multiple branches in bigger cities.

Klang valley folks don't get it that they are getting the short end of the stick. Those immigration staff working there... pity them, working non-stop like robots facing an endless line of customers without a moment break.

And yet population surveys were done. Guess the data collected is just left untouched.
