whats the best oil to change ?

was using semi for the last 5k now its time to change

my 12 year old myvi only racked 45k mileage

should i try the china car service TUHU ?

whats the best oil

valvoline ?

shell helix ultra 40 ?

suggest pls

Myvi is pretty much a tank. Built to last.
Any oil, so long genuine, will work for a myvi.

My myvi from 2013 is still in my stable after all these years.

don't care what brand la.. as long as it fits the one stated in your owner's manual can already...

Why use 40?

Use xW30 lar pannai. X = can be anything as in Malaysia no difference

12 years no need Ultra , HX8 can do the job.

get 5W30 HX7 from shell, can run 10k or half year.
been used this for passed 10 years for decades old car, clocked 400k km.

myvi use whatever genuine semi/mineral oil is enough. heck even cheapo mizu oil is okay.

its not even a high performance car that have a high requirements

my 15 years old vavi with a much higher milleage than yours still runs strong with no issues. currently using mizu 5w30 mineral+mos2 additive. car hardly hit 5000km in 6 months the reasone I swithc to mineral. Ceratec additive every 50k km. This 2 additive I use in all of my car.

i will consider change to FULL synthetic if you plan to keep the car long .
you get about 2X better engine protection

any genuine oil is fine, make sure use genuine oil filter and air filter too then the engine will last as long as you follow the service schedule. Or any oil filter and air filter that is better than genuine ones.

Best engine oil to me are those oil collected from scrap oil bottle that service center throw out, cause those are free and confirm original. Then every 2000km go change oil because collected too many already

As long as either 1 or 2 requirements are meet :
1) U have friend that runs besi buruk business (cause surely besi buruk collector will go service center collect their scrap)
2) U have friend that runs car workshop

Use la bold fully synthetic. Rm50 only cheap cheap somemore synthetic. Cheap n good just maybe the company sus abit since they just package the oil, not really and oil company.

Tested use in my 260hp car for 8x, go pecut turun Penang, KL, Johor multiple times, take up dyno, rempit malam malam, etc all ok. Oil temp stable, car engine power no deteriorate.

they use lowest grade oils to blend just to pass the minimum, API specs.

some fact you need to know.
The Additive Package: Even a superior Group IV base oil needs a robust additive package (detergents, dispersants, antioxidants) to neutralize acids and suspend contaminants. Once the additives are exhausted, the oil's effective life ends, regardless of how good the base stock is.

API SP specs does not mean the oil is tested/ still good for 10K .
means the oil could have degrade much earlier .

bold i see is blended in MSIA .

1. what base oil they use
imported from where ?

2. what additive package they use ,
imported from where, manufacture by whom ??

3. Any oil test report you have done or seen online.

why semi? masuk mineral oil continue serbis every 5km or every 6 months which ever first.
