iMessage not so user friendly and got danger it will revert to normal sms or even MMS if setting not correct

Can consider RCS with google messages. Works with imessage.

And will always work, falls back to sms (which everyone has) in case you are in a place with a poor internet connection.

Best of all, you reduce dependence on another app by a third company. Whatsapp is basically sms versi fesbuk.

I'm not ifag so never use i message. Been using whatsapp since symbian os time. I even pay them dev before the fuken sold it to meta.

I use iMessage to message myself to save links, pictures, etc lol

Android users on Google Messages can now message iMessage users using RCS. Before this only text and low-res pictures. But now it is very close to whatsapp or telegram in functionality.

Google Messages is usually the default SMS app so you do not even need to install anything new.

I’d prefer imessage over whatsapp anytime. If whatsapp got severe bug need reinstall, say goodbye to chat history.

and due to my sales nature, i get messages everyday, whenever i start whatsapp, it takes 30 secs to load entire cache, now super bloody lag its pissing me off.

iMessage limited to iPhone and iPad users only. Plus, not supported by all telcos especially MVNOs.

WhatsApp is cross platform and supported everywhere.

I don't see any advantage of using iMessage at all. Whatsapp is more widely used.

iMessage integrated with all Apple services so is more convenient to share stuffs if your group of friends are all iOS users which in US most people using iPhones …

Some apps are integrated to iMessage for sharing. It is neater and do not need to do it from the 3rd party app, for example i can share OneDrive file direct from iMessage or song from Apple Music or location from Google Maps … so if you are chatting with friend on iMessage and wanna share a music, you do not need to open Apple Music and copy link of the song and go back share it on the chat app …

In most cases, if we want to share certain link and stuffs using the respective app and select which chat app we wanna share it to and to which group/person, redirect to the chat app to share… it is never the other way around

This feature requires the app developer to support iMessage access not widely use so most of the app that supports are Apple company app … like Apple Music, Apple Cash, etc

I still don't see the advantage but since I never use iMessage its hard compare. All of my contacts have Whatsapp so I don't have to be picky when it comes to sending links/files/photos/videos to them. Even those I know using Apple phone will end up using Whatsapp anyway.

iPad got no WhatsApp yet. So use iMessage

I didnt use too but in other countries maybe people there do … just saying they have that differentiation vs simpler whatsapp. Like Wechat in China has a lot of app people use but in Malaysia i bet people dont use those … except basic functions…
