QUOTE(apache_utara @ Dec 1 2007, 11:37 AM) aiyo... beats me. we can live without it.like that also can ah? so did that bugger say sorry or what? charcoal canister does what actually? but i was told it's required in Europe. either for the cold temperature, or for emission purposes. I just leave mine there, so that the engine bay don't look so empty. |

Neo's blindspot because of X-BOX HUGE A-pillar. i'm not sure if it's recommended to have that installed on a neo.

QUOTE(Tauge @ Dec 3 2007, 11:44 AM) hi all.. 1) no they will not immobilize your car during the test.Would like to ask all Neo HL users equipped with Captor.. have you all done the free test to check whether they can detect your car's Captor signal? They told me to drive the car when they are performing the test and will post to me the test results later..will they immobilize the car half way when i'm driving? Because i will make an appointment to do the free test soon...Just want to know how the whole process is being done. Someone care to enlighten me?... 2) during the test, they'll note your location, then they'll call you and tell the location of your car during the test, (e.g. at 1pm you are at Jln Bukit Bintang heading to somewhere.. etc) There won't be any printout or any hard copy, just a phone call to verify that you were at those places and they are tracking the right car. as for me, i had an impromptu test. when i had my neo for repairs, the workshop mechanics couldn't start the car. since my neo was parked at the workshop for 2 whole weeks, i called captor to ask if they have immobilized my car. instantly they check on my car's location and told me where it's at and how long it's been there. they even reassured me that they did not immobilized the car. IMHO, it's very accurate and fast response. they didn't tell me call back later. on the spot already got the information. some more for 2 weeks the battery cable was unplugged. later that day, found out the problem was a broken fuel pump. |

QUOTE(Tauge @ Dec 3 2007, 02:54 PM) i see...now i got a clearer picture already...seems like your test wasn't a planned one.. not to say won't get stolen. Chances of finding the car back is much higher. A brand new neo was stolen and then quickly recovered the next day. it's advertised in their brochure.Anyway,i'm glad that my car is equipped with it and efficient like what you've said. Should be able to reduce the chances of my car getting stolen... wah, your Neo 2 weeks in the workshop was really long..must be quite troublesome then... Anyway, will test mine very soon since i just got my car for about 1 month already... Also, a neo owner had his car towed once for illegal parking. captor instantly called the owner. so far that's the fastest emergency response from captor i've heard off. yeah, my neo had a very bad accident a few months ago. QUOTE(Naka7a @ Dec 3 2007, 03:40 PM) but can captor prevent your car from being "rimsnapped"? hehe..all four of them. just yesterday one poor fella kena when he parked his car in his apartment coumpound. GPS tracking for rims! hehehehe....don't say rims lah, there's 2 brand new civics stolen from a condo at Dataran Prima. stupid enough, the owners left the auto gate touch card in the car, so the thief drove out with ease. the guard didn't suspect anything until the next morning when the owners lodge a complaint. |

QUOTE(ConquerorX @ Dec 3 2007, 04:01 PM) errrr, anyone knows where to get the big cloth to put it on you car whenever you're not using it? have to take precaution edi moon, in regards to the GSM alarm, in fact, I did think about it.. just that I afraid it might not be compatible with my captor.. dunno can retain the captor while having the GSM alarm or not as for roof repairs. i think it can be done by knocking it form inside. personally haven't experience it, but i think it should work that way. |
