Now there is a big hoo haa about the 70% discount.

Back in 2020 during Covid, I got 3 police summons in one trip - two of these summons were at a 90km stretch (at Ipoh area). I never got a single PDRM summon before or since then.

RM150 each, totally RM450. With the discount, the total is RM150.

In any case, my serious question is, what can the consequences be if we never pay? Everyone I know has never paid their PDRM speeding summons.

AES summon I had once, cleared it immediately. I was told that could have an impact on renewing road tax etc.

Discounted total should be rm135, not 150.

For me the discount is RM150 > RM50. It's not 70%, I wonder why too.

with the internal affairs minister and ministry of transport minister having PC together to address the matter regarding driver black listing starting next year, you can think of the consequences

Is it applicable retrospectively? I understand that yes, moving forward this will be a serious matter.

Starting January 1, 2026 a new saman structure following the ‘The Less You Delay, The Less You Pay’ principle will be in place, with no more discount campaigns. “This is because discounts based on programmes are unfair to those who are responsible and pay their summonses early,” Loke said.

In this new structure, compounds paid within one to 15 days will be entitled to a 50% reduction, while a 33% reduction awaits those who pay between 16–30 days. It’s the full compound rate with no discounts for 31–60 days and court action/blacklisting for unpaid saman 61 days and above.

Is this really true? They will blacklist those with unpaid summons above 60 days? Do our legal framework support this? If yes, it's likely the best thing that ever happened, but I am highly suspicious.

You didn't pay for so long still nothing happens right? So no need pay la. When kena blacklist or wanted then only come in here again to open another thread for that. Dah kena saman tak mau bayar, bagi diskaun pun tak mau bayar lagi .. bila kena blacklist/tangkap cry father, cry mother kerajaan zalim

Is there 7 year statute for audit? Same with saman applies?
