Hi all those gurus out there

I am starting out to get my first digital compact camera to replace my analogue olympus camera

I have read reviews about Nikon P50 from overseas sites

I wish someone locally could advise me.. will the Nikon Compact Coolpix P50 be suitable for me to shoot sharp pictures while I am travelling around to captures some of the scenaries and some group photos?

Is it a good buy?

Are there better model for this purpose?

My budget is below RM900.00

I grade myself as advanced level to autofocus, point and shoot type of photography.

Hopefully someone can answer within next few days as I am travelling mid next week so i really have to buy early next week.

i think P50 got 28 mm lens very useful for group photo

the japanese website said the camera can take 580 picture(CIPA stantard)
dont know what battery its using, or maybe its error?
