New Tata Sierra revealed before November 25 launch.
> Prices will be out on November 25
> Gets a boxy design outside and a 3-screen layout in the cabin
> Will debut Tata's new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engine
Three screens on the dashboard and plenty of features
Inside, the Sierra features three screens on the dashboard: one for the driver’s display and two for infotainment, which can synchronise content between them. It comes with the same four-spoke steering wheel as the Tata Curvv, with an illuminated Tata logo and touch-sensitive controls.
The cabin has a black and grey theme, and the massive panoramic sunroof that stretches to the C-pillar gives it an airy feel. It gets 5 seats inside with a dual-tone beige and grey theme. All seats get adjustable headrests and 3-point seatbelts.
Other feature highlights include dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, powered and ventilated front seats, rear sunshades, a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS and an electronic parking brake.
New Tata Sierra engine options
Debuts two new 1.5-litre engines for Tata Motors
The new Tata Sierra will debut the carmaker’s flagship 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023, which will also make its debut in the larger Tata Harrier and Tata Safari on December 9. It will generate around 170hp and 280Nm and will be available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
This is not the only new engine for the Sierra, as Tata will also offer a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol powertrain with the SUV, as previously reported. This engine will allow Tata Motors to price the Sierra aggressively.
A 1.5-litre diesel engine, already used in the Tata Curvv and Tata Nexon, will also be available. It will produce 118hp and 260Nm and come with both manual and automatic transmission options.
