greetings..anyone noes da current price for a PSP not da slim version??...da normal one...r they major differences between PS2 and PSP in terms of graphic n gaming wise??....

different league ler.. psp graphics is somewat lower thn wat u can get on a ps2.. its somthin better of ps1.. haha like ps1.5 sort.

PS2 & PSP is very big different.PSP slim can hand carry out to play,can use wi-fi to online(check thing not for download or play),have cable to plug to LCD TV play games,watch movie,listen MP3/MP4...
PS2 just can playing games at home & the graphics not so nice compare PSP.Caz PSP screen is LCD screen is more clear!!

the only reason why ps2 have slightly better graphic is because they have much bigger storage medium, and also the downclocked chip in PSP. We have not yet seen any PSP game coded at 333 MHz yet do we?
PSP graphic core is having more hardware supported instructions than PS2, as many PS2 graphics instructions are on software emulation, and also PSP has smaller resolution to output to, thus they can use the remaining resources on improving the quality of each pixel instead.

eventhough PS2 and PSP are running on similar clock speed, but it is still different much.

They're not running at the same clock speed. According to Wikipedia, PS2's CPU is clocked at 294 MHz (299 MHz on newer versions) while PSP's CPU is clocked at 333MHz.

Even though PSP has a faster CPU, Sony decided to cap the CPU to just 222 MHz (probably to extend the battery life) and only lifted the limit to 333 MHz on firmware 3.50. Because of this, most of the games on PSP is running at just 222 MHz.

AFAIK, only 2 games are using full 333 MHz CPU speed on PSP, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow and also God of War: Chains of Olympus.

kenot emulate ps2 lah, where got enough space unless using 8 GB mspd
ps2 and psp CPU is a bit different, ps2 relies most of it's 2 vector units, while psp got dual cpu configuration (one is main cpu, another is media engine, it also got vector unit on it's own)

PS2 produce more GFLOPS than PSP, but then PSP has included more hardware instructions specific to 3D graphics.

I can say CC:FF7 characters are rendered at much smoother, less polygon looks than FFX, not sure bout FF12. And its not even coded at 333 MHz.

slim can use Skype in the future if I'm not mistake. but battery has lesser charge compare to fat psp

anybody know how to unlocked the ori ver to local ver??how much it is cost??

psp slim full batt, plus umd, for me = 8 hrs of MHF2 with BG loading.

with fat = 10 hrs

ts, to get new psp u need 890 with acc... could get lower also.. basically psp graphic is lower than ps2..

here is my suggestion... why do u need a psp if u can save more and get a ps3... u need another 800 to top up and get a ps3 which u will surely satisfy... just my 2cent...

plus u nid HDTV to get best gaming experience
not to say normal tv cant...
plus u lost mobility lo...

plus its both dif league...hard to compare
