Learn to do own maintenance lor.

Checking oil levels is easy. Pop the hood, lift the dipstick and see the level. If below Min, top up and then send the car for checkup.

Unfortunately, people here only buy cars for looks and comfort. Maintenance knowledge zero. Everything let the SC do. Once the SC or owner fucked up, all buat dunno.

10k km service interval is a scam. If the car is a daily driver, send in for service after 7.5k km and don't wait any longer.

Been doing this for all my cars and none ever had engine failures for the past 35+ years.

This is a case of probably SC forgot to replace engine oil from last service. No way engine oil is bone try unless the engine block like crack.

Sometimes send to SC we trust them by paying that premium. He needs to start lawyer up then nego with the SC on how they want to settle.

Surely a new car would have displayed the Low Oil level warning right during startup or midway driving right? Or some drivers just ignored only. I know women drivers hardly paid attention to the warnings and drove like normal.

Impossible.

If forgot to replace, the Low Oil level warning will pop up multiple times.

Few scenarios.

1. Ignore Low Oil level warning. This warning will pop up before start and after start constantly. Very irritating on European cars and distracting on Japanese or Korean cars.

2. Oil filter may not be tightened enough. Slow small leak occured during driving. That's why no leak when parked.

3. Engine problems. Oil may have escaped via PCV to the intake. Check for oil traces.

The mechanic. He didn't fill the engine with new oil after draining the old. Engine oil doesn't evaporate just like that..
