28th November 2025 – (Hong Kong) Gabriel Harrison has announced the death of his wife, Effie Mok, who had been urgently admitted to the hospital earlier after being diagnosed with acute liver failure. The actor had launched an emergency online appeal to raise funds for her treatment and, with the help of friends and supporters, managed to secure over a million dollars for medical expenses. Despite these efforts, she sadly passed away.

Earlier this month, Harrison posted a distressing self-recorded video on social media from Guangzhou, appearing gaunt and visibly devastated as he broke down in tears multiple times. He appealed to the public to help raise HK$700,000 towards his wife’s surgery, describing her condition as acute liver cirrhosis.
