AMD’s latest driver package (Adrenalin 25.10.2) drops a bomb: for the RX 5000 and RX 6000 (RDNA-1 & RDNA-2) line, “new game support” and optimizations are no longer a priority; they’re essentially placed into maintenance mode.

Meanwhile, even for the RX 7000 class, owners of cards with USB-C ports (e.g., the RX 7900 series) will see the USB-C functionality disabled — the port becomes a DisplayPort-only connection in driver terms.

Meanwhile Geforce RTX2080 and similar series line released 2 years earlier than that radeon rx6000 series still have support
