Wow cannot believe there is kind RM only send FD promotion 

My Maybank Prestige/Privilege RM was one such banker. She knew we were super conservative and really bided her time. We had so much money locked up in low yield FDs while she was with Maybank Prestige. Then, she got upgraded to Private Banking, took us long with her and showed me what I was missing out - and by this time, I was ready to listen.

I bank privately with Maybank, UOB and DBS (I'm based in Singapore), and I've since made it clear to the RM at UOB and DBS I expect the same respectful approach that my Maybank Private RM showed me - and they've been more than happy to agree.

depends on your rapport and relationship with RM... its not all about buying banking products giving them commissions... no doubt they will try to introduce new stuff, its part of their job... but if you let them know what your interest are, etc., they can look out for you and not blanket promotions...

RM can really make life easier... a lot of banking stuff we just text her and she does all the paperwork... even comes to the house on saturdays or sundays for our signatures... a lot of the token gifts, like moon cakes, CNY stuff, etc actually comes from their own pocket... so we usually tell her NOT to give us anything, but she dun listen... lol... so usually when she comes around, we take her out for brunch or lunch, we pay... waifu sometimes bakes cake/bread as gift for her... lol... treat them nicely as human beings pls... not leaches trying to get you...

With my cursory research, in Sgp, DBS (and I think SCB) allow shares to be part of the AUM for privilege, priority status.  The shares are held under custodian, but easily tradable via their respective online platforms.

Shares holdings is not AUM in at least Maybank, RHB and HSBC in Malaysia.

Yes. For UOB Private, they’ll allow you a reduced AUM of $3m for the first 2 years, but subsequently they expect $5m AUM.

Nothing more than the usual that I get from DBS or Maybank private - free limo service, the usual wine and dine opportunities once or twice a year, the dedicated RM service and slightly better rates and discounts on product purchases.

12 times per year per person/account with Maybank. Any car you want. I took an Alphard this last trip to Australia, but I’ve ordered Mercs and Vellfires previously.

DBS has unlimited limo transfers.

I’ve never had to use UOBs yet, so I don’t know the exact details.

I can only answer for Changi - there’s a dedicated DBS Private Client Access lounge right next to the SilverKris lounge. I usually don’t bother with the free Priority Pass lounge access that comes with Maybank’s private banking as wife and I usually fly Suite/First or Business Class anyway.

Tks for the tip bro! We usually fly SQ and I try to avoid Qantas like the plague if possible hahaha. SQ’s lounge at Sydney is OK, nothing special, but will have menu table service as per their First Class standard. I usually hop across to Air NZ’s lounge to enjoy the better view after filling my tummy up at SilverKris haha.

Haha. Got it. Qantas inflight service is, at best, meh. And if you’re unlucky, you’ll get a really surly, way past her prime fatty land whale who already has trouble squeezing past the FC aisle, much less do that while serving you food and drinks on a wobbly trolley she can barely control hahaha.

One perk that I just found out today… I got offered the use of the Maybank Lounge at the National Stadium where I could enjoy Taylor Swift’s concert in air conditioned comfort this coming Saturday. My RM sent me a text with the invitation.

Hi.
Just to double confirm, the shares held under SCB SmartStocks nominee account will be considered part of AUM for SCB priority private status?

I walked into 2 different branches about a year ago.
1st branch said not considered.
2nd branch said yes
Perhaps the 1st RM I spoke to didn't want my business as most of my AUM will be shares.

Did you transfer your current shares from your CDS account over to SCB?
Was wondering if it is possible to do so without having to liquidate current holdings, bring the cash over and then purchase again.
On a separate note.
I understand that some of the benefits such as lounge access will be tied to the Priority Banking Visa Infinite credit card.
Does anyone know if the bank can take into consideration my dividend income from bursa listed shares if I'm currently not working, for the credit cad application?
