Anyone part of AM Private Banking? How to go about purchasing bond in SGD? I was told that the RM service for AM Private Banking is pretty good in terms of getting the most worthwhile bonds to invest in.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 8 2017, 12:34 AM) Convinenent without leaving malaysia, maybank lo. Thanks bro ramjade. So if I open the isavvy mbb account , I would also enjoy the privileges as when I open a trading account or a savings account in Singapore ?If you want the challenge, cross the border and try your luck. Ask for trading account (DBS/OCBC/UOB). If you said bank account, guaranteed they won't let you open. Tell them you want trading account. Then they will ask got bank account? Say no. But want to link bank account to trading account. Don't think standard chartered will entertain you. DBS at MBFC OCBC and UOB at Raffles place. If all else fail, tell them you want priority banking. Guaranteed boleh. From lowest to highest UOB - SGD100k OCBC & Standard Chartered - SGD200k DBS - SGD350k If you want to hold multicurrency account, OCBC does not have fall below fees while both UOB and DBS have fall below fees of SGD5/month. (this is not a priority banking feature). Good thing about multicurrency account: - Able to deposit cash - Able to withdraw cash - Able to pay in other country currency when overseas (DBS - major currencies and standard chartered - USD only) without conversion but need to use debit card. Bad thing about multicurrency account - Deposit and withdrawal in cash incur min 1% fees (standard chartered can waived the fees - which means you get to deposit and withdraw USD for free - required RM to waived the withdrawal fees, no fees for depositing USD for Standard Chartered) PS, if you choose to cross the border, bring your proof of income (income tax filling). Very important. Also I didn't bring my income tax documents however I might just try my luck by letting them view my e filing details This post has been edited by drbone: Aug 8 2017, 09:52 AM |

QUOTE(ikanbilis @ Aug 8 2017, 06:46 AM) Try POSB. They have quite good services. Internet banking also very convenient. Yesterday I transferred some money Fr my POSB to my Malaysian bank account with no fees and fund reach within the same day. Any charges if balance is lower than the minimum amount allowed ? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 8 2017, 10:30 AM) You can write a them cheque/bank draft or do a transfer later on. Obviously you can't use cash as SG allow one to carry max $20k cash without declaring. Went to DBS and UOB at MBFC , I need to bring more documents for them , so will probably be doing that next week when I visit SG again. |

QUOTE(csbong87 @ Sep 5 2017, 04:54 PM) Dear All, As long as minimum amount is deposited into the account, one is eligible, regardless of monthly income.Scenario, ones deposited 250k to CIMB (FD + FUND Investment), immediately become status CIMB Preffered customer, but what if the customer is cash rich but monthly income only around 5k. CIMB still will issues CIMB Preffered Infinite Credit Card to him ? Thanks, CS |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Sep 5 2017, 10:49 PM) CIMB would still ask for proof of income even if u are their Preferred customer, for VI application. Yes for credit card purpose , I agree. I was trying to mention about the minimum amount needed to b tagged as preferred customer.Income requirement stated as RM120k pa. http://www.cimbbank.com.my/en/personal/pro...y--Requirements This post has been edited by drbone: Sep 5 2017, 11:24 PM |

Planning to use personal cheque under my own name to put my dough into Maybank for the 4.3% FD promo tomorrow.
Is there any difference if I get a banker's cheque? Other than the charges of course. |

Anyway , what I wanted to know was can I sign my own cheque from Bank A (with my name written as recipient) and pass that cheque to Bank B for FD deposit? I have always done IBFT or transferred via banker's cheque, that's why.
