Yes, you need to be with them regularly, so they know you're the owner..

another way is maybe plant lots of bamboo trees and make sure surrounding area muddy

will attract a lot of leeches

since TS replied in my other thread ,
i will chip in some ideas

1. hire Pak guard
2. spend $ fence the whole area
3. scorth earth tactic - kill all the fish/pond/whatever that attract the penceroboh.
4. hire ganster ronda the area (need $)
5. sell the land ? no more headache
6 develop the land ?

*im from Penang , i want to go fishing/tangkap ikan , very hard to find such places in penang island .

This is another pond and is now full of glass. I dunno what glass is this and if I can take some and throw to other ponds

This pond has about 3-5 feets deep and very big. Then the glass grow from beginning till the end until you can't see the water anymore.

Think i'm fortunate enough in my case that the closest main road from my farmland is roughly several kilometres away, requiring an off-road vehicle to gain entry.

One method is that you can leave it as it is, TS? That'll bring some wildlife in and may deter trespassers. But if you do visit the place regularly, then have no choice: typical electrical fence + signs to deter them from entering or hire a groundskeep.

Trying to go with lethal force means is highly troublesome. I went down that route once. (Eg. previous groundskeep fucked up the situation, I took over his work holistically as the farmland steader, then I GET warned instead with coercion of jail + fine) not worth it IMHO.

Besides they do fishing, they throw something like bomb into the pond. What is that and for what purpose?

One of illegal fishing techniques, easy way to get fish, throw into the bomb into the pond, explode then all fish will be floating, then they just use net grab all the fish 🐠🐟🐠🐟

My previous groundskeep had a firearm. Specifically for deterring wild animal (we have families of wild boars and boa constrictors typically 2m long, etc) some things happened and for some reason, shots were fired into the air. But not in the hands of groundskeep's hand, it's from ANOTHER person in the scuffle.

Suffice to say the lawyer fought tooth and nail and lengthy court time for half a year (this is mid 2023 to 2024. Lengthy process). And since the weapon is tied to the farmland rather than the person, I was the legal successor to handle it since im the farmsteader.

So I swag around my farmland with it slung behind my back, never used it. Never loaded, Never primed. But it was on my back. Some days, some rando druggies come and despite our warning on trespassing AND electrical fence, they overcome those (they literally PUT selimut on the fences, weigh it down and climb over), and these druggies bring weapons. Machete and such.

I was at the front of the conflict. I had the weapon on my back. No punches or brawls, just heated argument and 'mak kau hijau' and 'induk kau janek' kind of insults when finally the police + civil defense come. Remarkably the druggies were let go with stern warning and I get detained instead.

in my OWN farm, in which I did NOTHING. I WAS 'guilty'. Why? Because the firearm happened to be on my back.

So it ended with more time wasted on court and the firearm confiscated, and now and then I have issue with one of the rookie members whenever we meet at nearby town just because of that incident.

According to an insider from my family lawyer, just because of prior court issue before o gained the firearm they already flag it internally and keep record of any incident. So when it's time even at the slimmest of opportunity, some of these police branches would actively confiscate it to make things easy for their paperwork.

Edit: fixing some sentence. It was a long day laugh.gif

Edit edit: fixing some more. Bear with me, sirs.

why it calls illegal? it means can't use this technique? I saw them setup something on the pond and after setup, throw the bomb to the pond and left.
Tomorrow come and check their setup to see got fishes or not.

Your case is more complicated than me.

That is why, the world is unfair and good person is treated this way. Same as me, I own the land but outsiders come in to do their stuff as what they like and ignored all warnings. But we can't do anything to settle them down and terpaksa to telan our air liur from mouth to the perut.

Agree 100%. Not to be a downer but this is pretty much ethnocentricism and oppression is all around, and sometimes some puak DESERVES MORE than a SLAP because they dont know how complacent and granted they are in their life compared to others.

Now I only have a over-modded dart zone / monkeemods' worker blaster on my back to deter lizards. But if some janek tunggal the size of a moped comes along, no foam dart can help me with that laugh.gif

That said... Maybe you should try CCTV, TS? TP-link Tapo series have solar powered types, and I actually use these in my farmland and linked to an outdoor wifi booster. Worth a try to keep surveillance on your land when you're not there.

Either that, or up your defenses some more with multiple electricity fences. It's your property, and despite trespassing, damage can still be considered minimal. Worth the time to try and experiment.

Just as he said, this was done just two weeks ago on cambodia vs thailand border.

Since those people active at night, why not just put some hidden speaker then have sudden girl crying or laughing burst ... but then again gonna be kinda careful cause if someone die of a heart attack on your property its gonna be even more troublesome.

All in all at serious note you should consult a lawyer and see what are your legal option first and what are the punishment for traspassers. Cause there are consequences ...... the higher your security is the more dangerous type of criminal you will encounter. And the hardest thing to control is vase land ownership, cause people will act ignorant and push the limit of what they can get away with.

i have several CCTVs installed and that why I know what they are doing daily from day to night.

Unfortunately, I dont have police friends to backup me. Else, it is much more easy to settle my issue (actually not my own created issue, but someone that creates for other without knowing they created)

Don't think it works if with haunted music. This type of persons, their intention is to catch fishes and sell in the market.

Have you ever confronted them? A bit on the tough side, but if a stern warning doesn't deter them then having an aggressive dog or two like others suggested would ease your mind, after meeting them and knowing their disposition and their respect to your property in person. Let them deal with the pain, lesson learned.

But in this respect, i'm worried if the dog gets the other end of the stick instead. hmm.gif then you should get 3-5, dont settle on one!

A more long-winded but potentially fruitful for you in future, bring it up with the locals and the community. Maybe in a way, they can help you deter the usual suspects in your stead.

Worth a try either way.

Yes, they said sorry and will go away. Then the next day, they tend to forget everything and repeated.

For dogs, I afraid they will poison them only. That why I said, sometimes need to telan the air liur myself.
