BGGP is an annual small file competition. Past challenges were: - BGGP1 (2020) - Palindrome - BGGP2 (2021) - Polyglot - BGGP3 (2022) - Crash - BGGP4 (2023) - Replicate - BGGP5 (2024) - Download For BGGP4 and BGGP5, participants sent in a lot of entries in multiple file formats and programming languages. BGGP6 for 2025, is expected to begin this Saturday (Oct 18 Eastern Time) as the organizer has postponed it from northern summer to northern fall. Get your hex editor ready. I will post more once it has begun. Announcement: https://haunted.computer/@netspooky/115357200184400163Website: https://binary.golfThis post has been edited by MatQuasar: Oct 17 2025, 04:46 PM

BGGP6 has begun until Jan 18, 2026. The theme for this year is : Recycle. You can do any past five challenges, or just a small file that prints or returns "6". Anyone? Link: https://github.com/binarygolf/BGGP/blob/main/2025/6.md

So far, not many are participating BGGP this year. To check new entry, go to: https://github.com/binarygolf/BGGP/issuesThe organizer of BGGP6 himself has published an entry! BGGP6 Wireshark Dissector Lua ( https://n0.lol/bggp6-wireshark/ ) QUOTE I wanted to create the smallest Lua dissector for Wireshark for BGGP6! This year’s challenge theme is RECYCLE, which opens up all the previous challenges for this year, running until January 18th 2026. Another option is to create the smallest file of a given type that prints, returns, or otherwise displays “6”, which is what I am doing here.
