Maxis How to Terminate Maxis Fibre

So I rarely create topic but this time I need input from you guys on the topic.

I've been a good paymaster for Maxis Fibre but their service have been been... okay I should not use any swear word or cuss word but let's say it is not up to mark.

1. Fibre line have been unstable since last year with the PON light blinking and always happened when heavy rain. This is landed property single storey terrace house.
2. Mine have been 30Mbps package but Maxis claimed upgraded last July to 100Mbps... pun sama juga 30Mbps.

For number 1, I already open a case regarding the blinking PON at Maxis Centre Sunway Pyramid and the fibre team until today pun tarak datang or follow up with me.

For number 2, I reported to MCMC and a Maxis rep ask me to show speed test results. I already attached it as a follow up comment at aduan MCMC portal and still no follow up.

I already approach TM Point to port into Unifi and the staff is extremely helpful but latest update say Maxis is giving trouble to their backend team.

TLDR I want to just terminate Maxis since already masuk the next bill cycle and I just tired being treated like a cat shit by everyone at Maxis (yes I'm being serious here so apology to the pak guard, cashier, IT tech support team etc).

So should I approach them the most diplomatic way at Maxis Centre to terminate it or should I be like those aunty/uncle who will jerit menjerit at the staffs CANCEL MY PLAN as made popular at Maxis Centre Sunway Pyramid as it is the nearest centre for me to visit?

Best you approach Maxis Center lodge a formal complaint. You reported to MCMC is good you got paper trail. If both too slow then engage KPDNKK. If all else fail engage lawyer to send letter of demand to Maxis and see their response. That said ask TM to give official letter saying Maxis is hindering them from proceeding further.

That said what's their kunji excuse?

U need to go there and jerit jerit. U use all the nice way do u see effectiveness?
Ask someone take a video of u jerit and viral it. Make sure inside the jerit got state all your points. Confirm next day CEO will call u.
If u no more contract, terminate no issue. If got contract then u really need to make a scene

Yeah I have paper trail already and my first time file aduan with MCMC as I fed up being ghosted by Maxis side. Even the TM Point staff who assisted me with the port in advised me to terminate this Thursday if no progress on TM side by tomorrow but I'm planning to drop by Maxis Centre somewhere in KL instead of the usual Sunway Pyramid which is practically hopeless for me.

I don't mind the staff there being incompetent or clueless but to tegur me what they think is "correct" is memang melampau as I keep correcting the staff that TM people come and setup the fibre line when I install it here and Maxis just piggy back it but instead keep insisting it is Maxis fibre team that install the fibre line? Like bro you are not the one who witness the installation process.

Basically I wanted them to check the fibre line as it was fine from 2021 when it got installed until late last year when the PON light start blinking during raining and it will take sometime for it to be stable (read: several hours or even days).

Yes memang sangat stress and sedih with Maxis running left right up down with my issue and what prompted me to take action is seeing other posters who started a thread on considering to move from Maxis to Unifi.

Basically no more contract already and the irony is porting into Unifi gives me free 55" Sharp TV too for the RM150 plan. Maybe I'll start watch more streaming services but I already tired when back from work hence why I can tahan the basic 30Mbps since I also have mobile data plan from work.

This is a TM problem. You should have just insist they replace the whole fiber all the way to the optical splitter. Maybe even replace the optical splitter as well.

You are going to face the same problem after you move to Unifi, unless the root cause is resolved.

If it can be there for days, then it should be easy to diagnose with nothing more than an OTDR.

If your neighbor don't have problem then replacing your fiber is almost guaranteed to fix the issue.

Almost guaranteed because I assume they already replaced your ONU?

I don't have recommendation on how to cancel Maxis. But I recommend you to watch TM replace the whole fiber when you switch to Unifi. Don't let them talk you out into reusing it.

Latest update: TM side manage to process the Request for Change of Broadband Service Provider aka the Transfer Request.

I've been advised from the TM staff that Maxis will contact me and definitely counter offer (lol).

So yeah maybe complaining on Lowyat does help to expedite the process. Syukur Malaysia masih aman. Thanks everyone who posted their thought here.

Did Maxis send people over (with unifi support) to upgrade your btu? Last time when maxis upgrade me to 100mbps, they came with unifi support to change the btu. Without changing the btu, cant get 100mbps according to them.

Sadly nope hence my aduan to Maxis followed by MCMC when Maxis didn't bother to follow up with me.
