Agree, should move it to the Software section. I was going to create a new thread about this yesterday.
Anyways, I've try the RC version and it works great! I load up Crysis Demo and the loading times decrease about half, however during gameplay theres not much noticeable activity on my thumbdrive; Windows startup is around 1.5X faster.
IMHO, this app rocks!

why it does not support USB 1.1?
shud move this to software section

USB 1.1 = 12mbps
USB 2.0 = 480mbps
see the diffrence? no point to utilize a thumbdrive if its have only 12mbps of peak transfer rate, which is equal to 1mega byte per second, which is slower than old IDE harddisk.

i hope one day windows for pc can boot up like windows mobile - maybe install everything in the memory instead of HD now that memory are so cheap yet very high capacity

IMHO i think this doesn't serve the purpose, since this software is for older pc which some of it didn't even come with USB2.0

ReadyBoost doesn't seem to be a obvious performance-booster in my 2GB RAM Windows Vista either (that's the reason why I never enable it on my flashdisk)...

So I'm not too sure how much it can help in non-Vista boxes

ready boost really help alot in my 2gb vista system.....
my computer really not that lag after i put in 4gb ready boost pendrive..
i try put 1gb but no different. but 4gb got different alot

iianm, readyboost only helpful for those who have 512mb ram.

RM50 = 2gb ram

Yes, it can. If you've got 1GB and more of RAM, it's no difference.

IMHO, readyboost is useless. Get more ram as it is cheap.

DDR1 not very cheap

I also dont use ReadyBoost. cuz my rig is fast enough currently. Plus ReadyBoost installs into your USB.

ReadyBoost is very useful if you've got less that 1GB. Try using ReadyBoost on a computer with MORE than 1GB of RAM then everyone will say that it's the worst app built-into Vista, duh... Btw, there's no problem partitioning a partition in your USB drive cause *most* (assumption, I maybe wrong) of us here should be using USB drives with a lot of memory.
