The budget isn't that strict. Less than 200k is good. I think a new Swift Sport is around 130k. I don't want some kind of track weapon. Mostly I'm just going to be driving to work and home again. Sometimes I have to pick up the kids from school so it has to have reasonable back seats.

can't get any proper sports car
brand new SSS in Malaysia is only available in auto, no manual.
SSS interior and rear seats are also not stellar, not far from a 86 BRZ if you ask me, generally much better just because it is a hatch with actual 2 more doors.
otherwise, it's a smaller/worse Myvi trading off with (much) more sporty characteristics and performance.

very less distinctions between track weapons and hot hatches/sedans these days , as most sedans are blurring that line.
personally the Civic RS EHEV Hybrid seems to fit that bill, albeit being a bit long as a mini accord, and potential steering rack headaches.

to me, Honda EHEV systems are damn good at having sporty driving because of EV and petrol combination. the added regen braking also helps elevate "performance issues" from the added weight unlike pure EV cars.
And that's why the latest Prelude is on the latest Honda EHEV drive train sweat.gif grumble.gif

oh ya! left out the EVs entirely.... definitely a decent choice before the 2026 tax kicks in. then many EVs will double up in price from the excise duty and taxes
