I drive a cx5 2015 model and the windscreen had a crack due to flying rocks when driving on highway. It's been cracked for a few months which i didn't bothered and now i think its time i find a place to change it. I have insurance already covered for the windscreen.

Question is where can i get them replaced? I know only Dr cermin can also but was wondering is anywhere else can? I was told if i go to any tinting shop, they will do the windscreen for me also and stick tinting for me all covered by the insurance, is this possible?

I live in OUG so anywhere nearby will do and open for suggestion where. If tinting shop can do the replacement with original windscreen and stick new tinting that would be the best in my opinion. If you can give me a few tinting shops name that would help also as i can go ask them. BTW, my windscreen has 0 tinting on it sweat.gif

First time taking the car to claim windscreen so any suggestion or advice would help. Thanks.

Check your nearby insurance panel first. Then bring your car there.

I am unaware that tinting specialist will be able to replace the front windscreens or offer such services. I am not sure about the procedure of claiming the front windscreen and tint together with the panel insurance since I don't have experience, though I am sure you could find out by asking your insurance company or selected workshops that deal with insurance claims.

Anyway, just a note since you mentioned to have a preference of doing it nearby your place at OUG. It would not be an issue if there are good workshops in OUG but if there are none, it is recommended to drive slightly further out to look for good reputable workshops. Some car workshops tied with the insurance may not be good, just check some reviews on Google maps and you can find out yourself. Things such as long repairs, shoddy workmanship etc. My most recent repair job under insurance claim is the most pleasant one and it's mostly with the workshop as the boss himself is very helpful and hands-on. However, the same cannot be said with the insurance company Takaful as the person-in-charge who inspected my vehicle somewhat rejected my claim which caused me unnecessary problems. I eventually got it approved though.

Here is the link to the workshop, Syarikat Bengkel Soan Huat. https://maps.app.goo.gl/zAZeT5mDxUJYB44z5

always done mine here, https://www.autoglass.com.my/

this shop is able to throw in a decent spec tint when replacing the windscreen, IRR95%.

as for me who regularly replaces the windscreen at various shops, most shops tend to give chapalang tint when replacing the windscreen under an insurance claim, even though the coverage is more than enough. One shop done, felt hot, then got my car checked in to tint shop, it was IRR45% only. Paid few hundred replacing the windscreen tint
