I have just replaced my car's windscreen with non ori one from china. Ever since then, my car will become very hot, when parking my car under the sun for slightly longer time. I went to one of the tinted shop, the technician told me , ori windscreen usually comes with a layer of tinted already in factory, but china oem ones usually wont have one. thats why it behaves this way, i have no choice but to choose tint with highest heat rejection, i get better experience after that, but still, if i park my car under the sun for too long, it will become very hot inside the cabin. (especially June, July these few months) I just want to find out that whether china windscreen really will have such problem?

Yes it is knew as UV laminated glass. Nowadays most never cars should be laminated with UV and next layer with good tint. In the past some older rides they tint 2 layer of different tint in order to get similar effects.

Since you only replaced the front glass, you should have opted for more premium tint like 3M, Solargard or V-Kool.

To be true ts, most windscreen shop are cheapskate for the tint spec they give when replacing the windscreen under insurance. I always felt hot right after changed brand new windscreen under insurance eventhough from whatapps shop told use branded, IRR97% etc.

One shop even advertised in lowyat garage sales for windscreen replacement service, throw in me with 55% IRR even whatapps told different.

End up spend few hundred with proof (with 3M meter) for 99% IRR

Nope different, take local brand, checked with meter b4 install, its 99% IRR rating. After install, at noon, can feel the difference vs IRR 55% b4 foc when tinted by windscreen shop

Nope, b4 crack with Totalgard ok, IRR99%. Then crack ask windscreen shop to replace, shop said will combo with tint since got coverage. Ask is it good tint, told 90-95% IRR, "branded".

After installed new windscreen, 1st felt hotter than b4, then smart tag can use easily, sure not 95% IRR. Went to Kepong Totalgard for swab the tint, take the newly install tint by windscreen shop to check, it 55% IRR.

Paid few hundred for 99% IRR back, then ok
