I am thinking of going to bookshop and buy a Form 1 mathematics reference book.

Then I try to figure it myself.

For those areas, I don't understand, I myself will engage a tution teacher to teach me.

Will start now, Form 1, 2 then 3 then 4 then 5.

Hopefully can touch on Add maths.

While working and doing this.

Don't want to sit down after retirement jobless.

What do you guys think ?

got another 10 years to go.

Good idea. Also network with teachers, find those telegram groups where notes are shared amongst fellow teachers.

license to step up tuition

-Company Incorporation
-MOE license application
-Assessment by MOE officers
- Receive MOE approval
-Apply for composite license (premise + signboard)

or be tuition teacher under a famous branch / freelance tutor but this one very hard, so many economy pie taken by a lot people.

why freelance difficult ?

In fact set up tution center, is even more difficult. I have one relative tried to do so, ended up lost in investments, he rented a shop with facilities.

just advertise your business, network with parents maybe through your kids...go house to house provide tution much easier.

charge 80-100 per hour.

then when build up name and network, only then can set up class in your house, if the space permits.

I had a friend who did one-to-one freelance tuition for a while before quitting. Jobs tend to slow down during end of schooling year (after exam period) and major school holidays (students gone for vacation). So if you're ok with a bit of inconsistent work, then no problem.

thought some parents willing to do what you call a "summer school" to retrain their kids macam revision during holidays.

It's highly dependent on the parents I guess. Kiasu ones might want that. You'll have to survey the market, but things might be different in 10 years time  laugh.gif
