Hampir 2 juta pengguna jalan raya bakal disenarai hitam jika gagal bayar saman JPJ


JPJ dedah Terowong Menora rekod 3,000 saman Awas setiap hari, jadikan ia lokasi tertinggi kesalahan had laju.



Sebanyak 3,000 notis saman dikeluarkan setiap hari melalui Sistem Keselamatan Kesedaran Automatik (Awas) di Terowong Menora, Ipoh, Perak.

Menurut laporan Kosmo, jumlah ini diperoleh hasil rakaman dua kamera Awas yang dipasang di kedua-dua arah Lebuh Raya Utara Selatan dan perkara ini dikatakan sendiri Pengarah Kanan Penguat Kuasa JPJ, Datuk Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan.

Setakat ini, kesalahan melibatkan had laju yang direkodkan oleh kamera Awas di kedua-dua arah di Terowong Menora mencecah 3,000 notis saman setiap hari.

Waktu puncak dan musim perayaan paling banyak kesalahan

Katanya lagi, jumlah saman melonjak pada musim perayaan dan cuti sekolah, apabila lebih ramai pengguna jalan raya melalui laluan tersebut.


Selangor pula catat jumlah tertinggi saman Awas

Walaupun Terowong Menora merekodkan paling banyak saman harian, Selangor tetap menjadi negeri dengan jumlah keseluruhan saman Awas tertinggi di Malaysia.

What is the speed limit again at the terowong?

The JPJ also weak; scare blacklist and pass the ball the courtroom to settle the case.

Afterall; so many discount timeframe given;

its like themself is the pittance of society. CAN walk over them.

If JPJ got brains and integrity; they should just put them errand summon collectors to bite the dust.

80km/h. i just kena when going down. my speed was 92km/h... rm300 after a week send to my house. I was going Haytai and that time was wee hours around 4am. Did not realize that speed trap and i'm using engine braking.

the descending part easily can go over 100kmh

still manageable at that speed , just need to have some expeirence , hopefully dont meet some stupid lorry cut in suddenly or people who abuse their brakes like nobody biz

yes, the speed limit is 80KM/H and plenty fast enough
since the speed limit is 80KM/H, as long as you don't exceed 90KM/H, you're clear
that means they're going way over 90KM/H which is very fast

i also speed there quite a few times, in fact faster than many cars but i've never been saman there yet

terowong menora is not that dangerous... the proper thrill is at KL-Karak Highway, 10 times more challenging...

that's the right jalan to install AWAS, but T20 always playing over there to Genting, gomen kasi can la...

I always keep to the left lane, and I always kena overtaken by lorries in the tunnel.

That's almost 1M everyday
Even if not high day and not all paying, still have 200k at least daily. Just this place enough to cover whole Malaysia awas camera expenses I think

When driving downhill from the tunnel, many cars in front don’t slow down, causing the speed camera to flash nonstop.

It seems the system can’t even keep up with the number of speeding vehicles.

Perhaps next year they’ll install two cameras side by side—not for safety, but just to double their income.

80km/h is much higher than the speed limit of 60km/h after the genting tunnels heading towards kl.



To stay below the speed limit, don't speed and drive within the speed limit while inside the tunnels.

Camera paling useless is the one at elite, causing jam all the way until shah alam.

50% discount is for PDRM summon la. I don't recall JPJ gave any discount in my 25 years of driving lol.

It is bs limit even at 90 , i force my car use gear 4 into 90 and 99% of the cars pass me including lorries lol .
From Genting tunnel till Gombak toll , i dont think the AWAS set the limit 80-90 there becoz i drive average 90-100 never kena , both direction tunnel till Gombak toll or Gombak toll till tunnel .

For that particular stretch down hill, it is 60 km/h. A bit further down, it is 90km/h.

That 60km/h stretch... a real speed trap (to cari duit).

Yeah, cars can handle those downhill curves easily at 80km/h.

Maybe some activists should petition JPJ or traffic polis to have different speed limits for different types of vehicles on certain roads.

Deswai I don’t understand why some ppl here cry mader fader about certain law not implemented. So what if implemented? Nobody gonna do the work to catch.
