Malaysia so desperate to improve FIFA rankings too bad Ronaldo grandparents not born in Malaysia else we can qualify for EC who cares about grassroots development but of course we are not the first to try and exploit the loopholes QUOTE(Mai189 @ Sep 28 2025, 10:09 AM) https://inside.fifa.com/legal/judicial-bodi...d-seven-playersThere are 2 issues: 1) Forgery of docs 2) Players eligibilty On (1), the argument that fifa approved it initially (FAMs main argument) does not hold water. Forgeries are usually discovered some time after the act especially after someone whistleblows. On (2) - come on la. All 7 to 8 players datuk nenek moyang from Msia. Wow what a coincidence..anyone buys that apart from Msia? Our ancestors were the first to sail around the world and reach both the north and the south pole so it's common that so many of them ended up in Europe and South America, etc This post has been edited by cfa28: Sep 28 2025, 11:50 AM

QUOTE(tokroni76 @ Oct 1 2025, 12:06 PM) Question: Since there are 7 players being suspended, are we talking about seven grandmothers or just one? If just one, should that ONE player be suspended If technical error, it is logical if just one player have mistakes in forms but seven? believe that for all 7, the original birth certificate of the grandmother is not available. hence what is produced is an extract or something akin to certified true copy based on evidence from witness, etc this is based on the response from JPN. this should be the contention from FIFA. How credible is the witness statement that support the issue of the extract of the birth certificate confirming the grandmother was born in Malaysia

QUOTE(hcmalaya @ Oct 1 2025, 02:32 PM) FIFA unlikely reverse decision CAS few rare case give some allowance but with penalties remain Possible scenario ayam think ini macam kot: CAS recognize the new nationality of the players but the documentation of ancestral link is subject to FIFA recognition. Fine must pay according to FIFA ruling Previous results remain as it is;as clearance was approved by FIFA Players’ 12 months suspension only applicable to national team and further subject to 5 years resident ruling. Players may play for respective clubs subject to respective league nationality ruling. 3 points deduction for next cycle of Qualifier. Kekwa think the players are banned from all football games cos they were not fielded in the JDT recent match https://inside.fifa.com/legal/judicial-bodi...d-seven-playersThe aforementioned players have been further sanctioned with a 12-month suspension from all football-related activities, effective from the date of notification of the decision. QUOTE(ReoAyanami @ Oct 7 2025, 04:21 PM) Seems like FAM still wants to defend itself by saying that Malaysia issued documents supercedes the original birthcert. Didn't know Malaysia government is so powderful. our ancestors could fly and were the first ones to sail around the world and reach both the north and south pole and even climb everest long before the white people don't challenge our power but let's see how FAM rebut the original birth certificate by fifa

QUOTE(p4n6 @ Oct 7 2025, 05:35 PM) If both Spain and Malaysia also claim the player parents/grandparents birthplace then how? this proves that the multiverse exist, that their grandparents can be at 2 different places at the same time that's why their descends are such good footballers. with these players, MY can even win the world Cup

actually there are a few separate issues here that many people seems to have mixed up
1) granting of citizenship to the foreign players.
the HM has the discretion to give citizenship to anyone, so long as they meet certain criteria.
for instance, if Elon Musk suddenly wants to become a Malaysian citizen and promise to invest RM5b, he will get citizenship almost immediately after the documents are submitted.
2) representing Malaysia under heritage route
now FIFA does not want players offering their services to play for countries in exchanges for citizenship and places extra criteria such as length of stay and this heritage route.
the issue is that they are questions as to whether these players actually qualify under the heritage route as fifa claims to have their grandparents birth record from foreign country but FAM claims the grandparents are born in Malaysia in order to qualify for the heritage route.
so the real issue is not whether they qualified to be Malaysia citizens but where their grandparents are actually born in right
i don't think where they were born or their grandparents were born was a consideration for citizenship

HY is just avoiding the topic cos scared of Uncle Sam
previously she criticised giving citizenship to foreigners cos of sports but know she say circumstances have changed
what circumstances changed, its the same
instead try to spin and talk about giving citizenship to children of malaysian mothers with foreign husbands which is totally unrelated
M40 are really stuck between useless leaders from PH vs even worse leaders from Parti Hijau

FAMdefense seems pretty forked up.
tyring tu say that the players and FAM Are not involved in the false documents
the whole damn crux of the matter is whether the player grandparents were born in Malaysia..
in addition, FAM in saying that they are heritage players must have asked for proof and done their own due diligence and not just accepting the player word as JPN citizenship and heritage proof are 2 totally separate matters
I will be very surprised if we win the appeal
as a Malaysian and a nationalist, i will want FAM to win based on facts and proof but that seems unlikely
for this the player must be aware and somehow actively participate in the process.

Article 22 of FIFA
22. FORGERY AND FALSIFICATION
1. Anyone who, in football-related activities, forges a document, falsifies an authentic document or uses a forged or falsified document will be sanctioned with a fine and a ban of at least six matches or for a specific period of no less than 12 months.
2. An association or a club may be held liable for an act of forgery or falsification by one of its officials and/or players.
i am not a lawyer but it does not state that action is only against the Association cos (1) says anyone..

QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Nov 6 2025, 06:43 PM) if the documents were falsified, what is the legal status of the seven players that got Malaysian citizenship? are they still citizens?will their passports be revoked? it's separate matters citizenship was given under descretion of the Home Minister nothing to do with where their grandparents were born of course in reality it was so that they can play for malaysia
