Went to Honor store and they said pre-order full booking no more free tablet but free Honor watch 2i. Reject it.

Then went home pre-order through Honor website pay RM9 booking fee still have free tablet. They provided a list of shops mostly sold out except a few. I chose one shop near my house to pick up on 10 Oct.

Missed out on the tablet but no matter. Been waiting for a midrange phone for a long time with oled, ip69 and decent battery to replace my 4 year old china rugged phone.

Maybe let me share some personal impressions using it for 2 days:
1. Phone is snappy for day to day usage. However, definitely can feel some random stutters, and app takes slightly longer to load.
2. Battery life is fantastic. If you drain it in 1 day, easily 12 hours of screen on time. Even with my usage, I have 66 percent left in tank, unplugged since yesterday 7am, with 4hrs 10mins of screen on time. 75 percent of the time I am on 5G network, 25 percent on WiFi.
3. Phone is light considering the phone packs a 8300mah battery
4. Display is gorgeous. I can't emphasize enough on the slim and even bezels. Makes it look like a premium phone. Colors are punchy and vibrant, brightness is definitely bright enough for outdoor usage.
5. Speakers are loud. Good for entertainment consumption
6. With the preorder promo, I feel it is a good deal. I am glad i sold the tablet away for $100 as someone just mentioned that it is laggy. So basically, I paid 284 for the phone? And that is with 2 years of warranty, and the 365 days front and back protection for accidental damage.
7. Haptics on the weaker side, don't feel tight, but not as crappy as the Nord CE5 one, and not as good as the CMF Phone 2 Pro.
8. Am still pleasantly surprised by the dual band GPS they included here and not doing cost cutting measures. Really useful for delivery drivers, drivers to use this phone. It packs a huge battery, good drop protection and dual band GPS!

Ok lah if you put it that way. But 19hrs SOT on my china rugged phone is hard to beat. That's really as close at 1 day battery....

This phone battery is omg super longgggggggggg lasting... Hard to kill

Been testing the x9d over the past day.

Pretty decent for a midranger. Older CPU but i'm not complaining as I'm not using for gaming or opening many apps. Seems snappy enough for me...at least for now.
Still hard to find a midranger with good battery life, OLED and ip69k so this stands out from the crowd.

The screen is nice. under screen fingerprint is fast, although located a bit too low. Stereo speakers just ok for loudness and lacks clarity and definition, but I'm not expecting iphone lvls of quality there. Camera midpack performance but its better than what I had.
Just need to get used to Magic OS.

Would have been nice to have a TF slot. Makes it easier to transfer data and not hog up phone storage.

Price higher than some midrangers but you get more stuff with it. getting 150rm worth of coins on shopee for other things is just gravy on top.

A good buy in my books. for now.

After using it for a few days.. About the only issue is the thin bezels get a lot of unintended palm presses when holding the phone 1 handed. Palm rejection not very good. Probably needs a case with a lip over the screen.

Battery life is indeed quite good. Can spam YouTube and insta for almost a full day. My old china phone was better with the 13200mah battery but just. No doubt the newer x9d chipset is more efficient and the amoled helps

boss, do you know how many Android updates for this Honor phone usually?

today got try out, looks good compared to Sammy A series.

Honor or others Chinese phone normally around 2 or 3 updates only...

Sammy one is up to 6 updates...

but ... but ... tiger bank MAE stupid wan.

Now my xiaomi cannot use MAE already, need to upgrade to newer Android.

so thinking whether should go for Sammy A series or this Honor x9d.

But nowadays kinda hard.... All need to use latest OS... Especially that banking apps....  Singapore or others countries don't need Android 13 to run....

Mine previously suddenly cant use. Cannot load. Then i call their service hotline, they say need go down to the bank. I go to the bank, the person see see, say my phone no network. I literally, uninstall, then install back in front of him, then he see see, take out his phone and say, his phone no problem, means my phone no data.

I gave up. Once in a while try. Once i waited 30 minutes and it manage to load. But every time i tab out of the app and go back, everything freeze. I think is just the app useless. I was using samsung s23 ultra btw.
