Any recommendations for good satay in Klang Valley? I was searching for some satay stalls but got put off by some poor reviews on Google Maps so I went to my usual satay restaurant yesterday, 'Satay Point' at Sungai Besi to pack some satay back home. It's my 3rd or 4th visit since I discovered this satay stall about 3 years ago. The price is only RM0.90 for one stick though smaller portion but one can't complain for the low price and quality of the satay. The chicken satay has a fatty piece included for the RM0.90 option but if you don't want any fat meat and just want lean chicken meat, you can opt for the higher-priced premium option at RM1.30 per stick. The peanut sauce is also delicious and although it's slightly diluted for our preference overall it's still good. I always pack the satay and don't dine at the restaurant though. Here is the location and some pictures.

Next stop, I plan to try Sate Murni in Taman Desa as I read some good reviews. I haven't tried this stall yet though and it will be my first time trying it, maybe in 1 or 2 weeks time. Link of the location here https://maps.app.goo.gl/MCoRxht7cgBYztBQ8 The price is RM1.40 for one stick of chicken satay.

If there is any other good satay stall recommendations please feel free to share.

Interestingly, although I knew Kajang is famous for satay, I haven't tried this Medan Satay Kajang. I did try Satay Kajang Hj.Samuri nearby this Medan Satay Kajang many years ago and it's good. We have also tried Satay Kajang Hj Samuri in the Klang branch several times when we visited Klang.

Will try Medan Satay Kajang next time when we visit Kajang. We don't go to Kajang very often so there is not chance to try the satay there. We go to nearby satay stalls in Cheras or PJ nearer to our place.

Just tried Sate Murni in Taman Desa. I'll keep this brief. The only good thing about this sate is the big portion for RM1.40 per stick and that's about it. The aroma of the chicken meat is lacking the spices and most importantly, the peanut sauce does not taste as good as Satay Point above and is too spicy.

Will try Kajang satay and Hj Samuri next time.

Yes, meat not marinated thoroughly and lacking in flavour, to exaggerate it's like having common chicken meat on a stick and not satay. The peanut sauce is also a minus point as mentioned earlier.

Well, I'm going to visit Satay Point at Sg Besi again tomorrow to pack some satay for the office staff during lunch and also family members. Value-for-money satay and most importantly, quality satay and nice. Kajang is a bit too far to make a trip.

Usually they are open on Monday to Fridays, weekends only pre-order (take-away) due to insufficient staff since usually weekends more customers. But for this week until 12/10, they are closed since their boss went for 'umrah' but only for dine-in. They are still open for take-away orders though during this period.
