This is survey they '' feel''. Feel only, means syok sendiri. Maybe don't need that much. Often people think planning for retirement = living dream life after work years. Bro.... Retirement just means u have enough money to live existing lifestyle until die, bukan utk afford lambo and live banglow This post has been edited by littlegamer: Sep 16 2025, 01:01 PM max_cavalera liked this post

Actually since years ago already many Singaporean bought property at JB as holiday home, and already plan to retire in JB. On the surface/internet they like to kecam Malaysia, but in reality they can live comfortably if retire in Malaysia. And most of them also admitted Malaysia food is better. max_cavalera liked this post

The biggest lesson is that retirement is solely a personal responsibility.
Don't let others tell you how much you need or dont need. Sinkie has annuity called CPF life. If can live within lifetime payout means, then can retire at 65. If not enough can always go bolehland or other cheaper country to retire. Lots of options. 80+% will also have HDB (fully paid by 55). If retire abroad, can supplement by renting out HDB and add on rental income. Even 2 room rental can generate enough monthly income (after minus bolehland rental if retire in bolehland) No need so much money, yet plenty of choices if one can do their own proper financial planning. |
