Why some cina pretend only speak kantonis?

the chinese only speaks if he is fluent in that dialect.. or only in company that are familiar to him..
he doesn't want to speak gibberish that only to find out that it's grammatically incorrect or proper.. if you listen to HK cantonese and local, you will immediately see the difference.. even local mandarin to taiwanese mandarin has colloquial words... now with SOCMED, the language uniformity is improving |
