Hi guys,

I have been recommended these two brands for washing machine and dryer as separate unit. Most are pushing for Samsung but I have been reading bad feedback on it. Both similar pricing.

Appreciate if you guys could advice

Using LG washing machine (top load, 2 different sizes) and Electrolux dryer. LG washing machine is very reliable, just remember to take care of it (clean filter frequently, use tub clean, etc) Dryer also.

How's the drying? I actually wanna get combo and just sell it away in 4 years time when I shift but my wife wants to get two separate unit so that we can just bring along next time.

combo not recommended, we asked around quite a few places and they all said that if either one component kaput, you basically render the whole machine useless.
just get the 2.

Haha yes, but I'm aiming to use it for 4 years only. Then we will be moving to our own house, where we would buy both separately. Kinna lazy wanna shift them. But if have to, maybe we will just buy both now.

Looking at both LG and Samsung but can't decide as both are same price as combo.

You're either gonna shift one or 2 machines, to me personally that's not a big diff if you're gonna get a moving lorry for that anyway.
Front loader means you have to clean the gasket frequently as well, pray that nothing breaks down post warranty 😑

Ultimately it's up to you, you can have the combo for convenience, or separate for future proofing. In case dryer Kong can use the sun 🌞

Haha I'm looking at the same brand so that I can stack them up. Space is rather limited for me. Getting 2 in 1 is just for temporary so that I can sell it when I move, and get a better one in the future. But the dilemma now is, should I just bite the bullet now then I don't have to buy them again in the future. Haha.

again entirely up to you, we also bit the bullet when we purchased this because we had an urgent need (moving into another place, baby came 2 months early, so on) and it wasn't feasible to purchase one standalone washer and combo because it was out of our budget. Now a bit of a pain to move them back, but we'll arrange for movers once the time comes.

regardless pick whichever you're most comfortable with.
