if you know how to buy from TaoBao and knows how to build PC from parts - you can get way cheaper.

get 5700x instead. Its old gen, better make it little beefier so it can have little extra lifetime.

Yup listed price. I think only the case whereby the shipping fee will cost a bit more since it's class as bulky. The rest of the parts i think the free shipping vouchers is still applicable especially if you buy the parts during sale (7/7,8/8,9/9 etc2).

Ofc some shops do offer bundle for the cpu and mobo. You'll probably get a better deal from that too.

Yup, 12400f and 5600 performs almost identical in multi task and gaming. Power draw is also the same and the temperature is a bit cooler on the intel side so stock cooler is enough.

go buy used PC from PC groups in fb, make your rm2.5k worth it with better spec.

Forget about playing new high profile mainstream game at high setting, probably would struggle to get playable speed in lowest setting too. But anything before the last five years should work just fine. No comment on the price though, it is definitely not in the range of big bargain obviously, but also not rip off.

actually... if you want a basic windows 11 pc.... shopee got a lot of those refurbished Dell, Lenovo, etc PCs... add your RTX3050... then you are set.

You use it for gaming? If not, can save a bit and just use internal GPU with 5600G.

Use money for PSU or new AM5 MB.

if it wasnt for Windows 10 end of life crap - i probably wont upgrade.
so i chose cheap2 setup and use old parts for my ' windows 11' compatible system...
even tukar to red team after so many years with blue.

i am content with my setup now.
no rush to get AM5 + DDR5.... unless really have to.

Regardless of the hardware you go with, don’t skimp on the PSU. A quality 550W unit with at least an 80+ Gold (ideally Platinum) rating should be your baseline. It’ll give you clean, stable power and enough headroom to support a few upgrades down the line.

TS didn't specify his/her PC mainly for what purpose but the being ask, it more as general usage or workstation for office paperwork.

I bought my B550M Aorus Elite motherboard and that Ryzen 5600 from there to make my current system - so far after 1y+ no problem.

The only cost are -

1.B550M Aorus Elite motherboard
2.Ryzen 5600 + stock cooler

**both the above cost me around RM800+ with shipping to Malaysia.

the other parts re-used. meaning I still use parts from my old intel i7-6700 PC.

That model came out in Q4 2020. Now year 2025 , you still wanna buy into AM4 and use DDR4

If you buy used for cheap price , at least it makes sense. You buy new , you really out of your mind.. Also that rtx3050 6gb. Rtx 3000 came out in 2020 , mind you. Now rtx 5000 series also out already for quite some time , but u wanna buy new rtx 3050, the junk 6gb version somemore.

Not the best, but still way better than those generic PSUs bundled with casings. Hopefully the motherboard and gpu VRM and filters can sort out the ripples and noise.

Good PSUs don’t come cheap. Top up a bit and get this instead.
