I need to change my car's cooling coil. Something is leaking after going through a few air con services, they conclude it's likely coming from cooling coil as the outer area doesn't show any leak. The air also starts to smell, so suspect of mold built up in cooling coil.

I'm likely going to buy my own parts, but would like to know what would be a reasonable fee for the installation + gas?
I'm looking for some recommendation, please share if you guys have any contact for a good price around KL/Selangor area.

Thanks.

Then won't be considering. I saved a lot each time i buy myself (cheaper + original). But thanks.

Not a good idea to buy own parts. If the mechanic screwed up the installation, your parts will be the first to be 'faulty' 🤑

That's typically the case, when they don't have enough experience, plus wanting to sell their own parts. It can be a dodgy industry.

I bought Condensor, cooling coil, Compressor online shopee whole aircond system for them. They charged a labour RM900 for 2 whole day with all services + full gas.
Now my aircond never gone full blast, mostly open 20%-50%, cool like fuck.

Not sure what car model are yours

but my merc cooling coil deep inside the dashboard, the labour fee konfirm more than the product itself, so the foreman told me dont save that money buy OEM, original better lifepsan price diffrence only RM50-RM100 because you're not dissemble the dashboard every year, likely only once a lifetime just to fix that fucking cooling coil.

That's a good point! i am going to get an original part. and even after getting one, i realized the cost of product + installation is still cheaper than buy parts from them! That's when i learn everytime i buy my own parts, i usually save 300 - 400, while learning their margin is so freaking high.
