One thing I felt very disappointed with Malay S’pore is their kids generation don’t speak Malay. They may understand when their elders speak to them but they’ll reply in English. Few more generation their heritage will be gone if don’t preserve. I kena praise before that my Malay much better than their kids
The same can be said about msia Cina alsoMore and more young generation cant speak their own dialects. All speak mandarin. For the non-cina educated ones they speak English more often. Either way they don't focus on BM which is a shame because it portrays failure on upholding our national identity.
But then again can be faulted meh? Meleis here say Cina in Indonesia all integrated can speak indon well, but truth is, when shit hit the fan, Cina gets singled out as bogeyman again. Ppl got eyes to see, brain to think tau....
