1st thing a Penang laksa seller will show is a sedok full of made off fish to that kuah laksa

She looks like got Siamese blood.  Anyway, I prefer Penang laksa lemak.  The aroma of bunga kantan and creamy santan is just amazing! 

Penang laksa has too much belacan and otak udang paste.  Smelly.  If I were to take Assam laksa, I prefer laksa Utara (laksa kesah/perlis) which is less sour and has more fish meat.  If you happen to be in Alor Star, try this shop.

Their laksa lemak and fried keow teow/tang Hoon is also good.  Got wok hei.  And try their white nutmeg juice!  Refreshing on a hot day!

I didn’t know alor setar still have Chinese food vendor in service?? Ade wok hei lagi, tak haram ke CKT lard? How they extract the wok hei asap? via MV ducting from wok to where?

Hahahaha… u hear too much fake rumours from RBA.  There are a lot of places on Kedah that served pork and sells beers.  Not to mention pubs.  You just need to ask. 

Same as Kelantan.  Still serves beers in Chinatown.

Wokey, I ask around for you.  But mee Jawa goreng Chinese style, restaurant Lian Thong Taiping is v v good. 

Northern style char hor fun…go to the Shanghai Dan at linty sepuluh beside the private hospital.  There also got one Ngoh hiang with fried yam.  Best.

Woww great, all 3 in taiping, right?? With these 3 dishes sure worth the drive there.
