this seat, i saw a lot of countries people are fed up with it and demand it to be removed because it makes people entitled AF

malaysia, SG, taiwan, HK all i saw they want this "priority" thingy to be removed and turn it into normal seating to avoid any further conflict and entitlement

taiwan not removing it, but is proposing to change the law, from "priority to pregnant/old/children" to "those who need it"

Two weeks ago mcd in sg released the new burger which they were giving out for free. All the ones waiting in line for hours are the very same old people asking for seats in the trains and busses.

in terms of MRT, actually m'sia has 1 of the best etiquette.
as some1 to ride the MRT/LRT often, people just treat priority seats as normal seats.
then when some 1 more deserving stepped in, like elderly, pregnant women, there's always some1 will gov up their seat, regardless it's priority sest or not.

because entitlement disease not yet reach here yet
we're always later than everybody else like etomidate

meanwhile other countries a lot of entitled ah pek and auntie already....they will demand you to give up your seat eventhough you needed it
they use their senior citizen status to go around entitling others

so far I havent meet any yet...If they want my seat, I will ask them why me and not you ask others? and also, I only give if there ask in polite way and MUST include the word PLEASE...lol

the moment they ask, it's already game over...humans don't like to be pushed, the more you're being push...the more you pushed back/deny/say no

that is the reason so many countries request gov to remove this "priority seating" so the entitlement will stop....some elderly abuse that entitlement

Basically just find a corner and stand. Don't need to give way to others.

Some old folks are literally self-centered, they feel entitled for the seat. I have seen a few, who actually forcefully request for the seat. And, also those that want to be a hero, would ask you stand by slamming or shouting at you instead of asking politely.
