I've never listened to the guy but differences in opinions shouldn't lead to violence, assuming that was the motivation.

That being said, in a politically-charged atmosphere, the widespread availability of firearms isnt going to end well.

Ktards think of themselves as right wingers until the 'wrong' kind of right wing is in power (wrong brand of nationalism (i.e. race), wrong brand of religion, wrong kind of social rules). Then they sing a different tune.

To be fair, my point was that being 'right-wing' is in vogue and people are just jumping on the bandwagon, regardless of the caveats they have to make to fit their own beliefs.

But i agree, malaysians are more hardcoded according to race and religious sentiments. I can easily imagine people who feel free to dislike gays turn around and support 'globalist' rules like icerd. If a nationalist politician waves a kris, they can throw their support behind a party with a Socialist Youth wing.

I've gone and watched his videos (including the debate at Cambridge, which he posts on his channel), and he has a certain style of debate that relies on playing to the audience. In the US ones he tends to get sympathetic crowds that cheer him and laugh at his jokes (usually at the expense of his opponent). I'm assuming many of these are Turning Point organised events.

This is in contrast to the Cambridge debate. You can see the tone he takes in the first question (i.e. "I didn't fly here to answer why I wont debate someone - is this the quality of debate here?") Which got a few laughs from the audience. But in the next question on DNA he lost the crowd when they laughed at his response about 'magic' happening at conception.

He really relies on a friendly crowd. But props to him for posting videos where he didn't do too well, which is fair.
