Sometimes because salesman wants to video the new customer driving off the car. Later post on their social media.

My wife also when took delivery of car, salesman ask to drive slowly out of the showroom. Take video. Wah, crazy man, the showroom so many glass walls, tight corners, not familiar with new car, some more need to turn here and there. End up i tell her to go to passenger seat while I drive the car out....slowly, I also not familiar with the controls, some more got camera here and there.
