QUOTE(Medusakia @ Sep 10 2025, 03:15 PM)
KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Wee Ka Siong today sidestepped questions on an informal meeting between his party, MIC and Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Asked to comment on the revelation by PN secretary-general Azmin Ali, Wee told reporters: “Ask him. Why ask me? He is the one who said it… If he wants to talk, let him talk.”

It was reported that PN had held informal discussions with MCA and MIC, both component parties of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN).

Azmin said the two parties acknowledged that the policies introduced under the former PN government led by Muhyiddin Yassin were fair and inclusive.

MCA and MIC are long-time components of the Umno-led BN, a key partner in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s unity government.

BN was also a key ally in Muhyiddin’s government, giving the Bersatu president its backing for the top post following the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government in February 2020.

In June, Wee said the party’s 191 divisions would discuss its future amid discontent over its lack of influence in the government, and bring their proposals to the annual general meeting in October.

even bck when BN wins GE, MCA also already no place to stand.
now in PH, they alwo no place to stand cuz they are only there just bcoz master wants them there.
if join PN, can close shop liao.

it used to be MCA capture the chinese votes during the strong BN era.
then MCA lost the common chinese votes, but still hav chinese businessman's votes (lets just face it, MCA is not about the people, it has always been a business party. as long as they can do business & earn money, they dun care about commoners).

if join PN, even the Chinese business voters also gone.
cuz it's a fact that if MCA will hav no say in PN, & PAS will be roadblock in business.
