Hi there, im new user of AWU3.

Just got my watch last night and straight away i signed up the Maxis Connect Watch Plan for RM20 monthly.

Anyone having issue unable to make calls (call to direct numbers) with the AWU3 only?

Mine not able to, press call it straight hang up, but it able to call if the "FaceTime Audio" is available if its an iPhone user.

And it only show 4G never see 5G before (my RM139 Plan got 5G).

Tried to troubleshoot with Maxis in Whatsapp, not helping at all.

Tried unpair and re-pair, still the same.

And the connection always show empty bars, but once turn off the Cellular and turn back on, will jump to full bar,

I think 5G not enable by Telco’s for apple watch for now. So telco should work on it with Apple similar to iphone when DNB launch initially

I see. But based on how Maxis brand their Connect Plan, it seems to be 5G enabled services.

Even their Human Agent in Whatsapp chat did said that it come with 5G.

Did anyone able to get 5G with their Maxis Connect Plan in their Apple Watches ?

Loving it.

Give a "Modern + Vintage" vibe.

Can be casual yet wearing it for sport.

Found a way to solve my issue.

Also found the reason why Watches cant connect with 5G, from what i had "researched" most the wearable are using "5G Reduction Capacity" or RedCap, which is something that our Telco need to launch it. From what i know, Maxis had discussing with DNB since 2023 to roll out the 5G Advance or 5.5G which come with 5G RedCap.

So until they roll it out, the Apple Watches would not have 5G accessibility for now.
