Just bought the AirPods Pro 3 via walk-in to Apple Store TRX.

Stock just arrived but very limited, and wasn’t updated to Apple Store Online yet at time of my purchase. 😁

Just tried both Pro 2 and Pro 3 side by side

Things better in Pro 3
- bass is stronger
- soundstage is wider
- ANC quite a bit better
- the seal is also better

Things better in Pro 2
- vocals sounds slightly clearer
- the case is denser and feels more solid. The new one feels a bit cheap 😅

Haha for sure. But from 2 to 3, probably not so much. Just more prominent ‘V Curve’, meaning enhanced bass and highs, but sacrificing the mid range (vocal clarity) 😌

Ok. Tonight had some time to kill and I just unboxed and tested the AirPods Pro 3. ☺️

First impression immediately disappointed with the subdued vocals. Bass seems overloaded now, in a not so good way. May need to do further tweaking in the equalizer. But a bit sad as my AirPods Pro 2 sounded ‘perfect’ out of the box when I first bought it 2 years+ ago. 😶‍🌫️

But I have to say the ANC is much better, with the foam seals and also the sound feels ‘larger’ now, closer to how larger headphones are on you instead of earbuds. ☺️

Yeah honestly pro 2 still really good. I only upgrade because I want better anc and battery lol

Dilemma, if the APP2 has a good deal like <RM700, I wonder if should get that instead.

The sound is balanced not bass heavy or vocals is drowned. Maybe it’s recent firmware update? Or I’m just bias and can’t listen?

Yup, brought everything — cable, ear tips, box. As expected, CEX lowballed a bit, but I was ready for Grade C and got Grade B, so I’m happy since used for three years. RM425 without box isn’t bad.

Most places don’t take them — Apple TRX only accepts devices with screens, Machines didn’t either. Private sale (Carousell, etc.) might get more.

Tip if u wanna trade in CEX: after removing from Find My, tell them to hold the back button till the light changes to reset before they pair it. They didn’t know at first — took an extra 20 mins until I mentioned it cause the this airpods belongs to owner keeps popping up.

Anyway… don’t change the topic 😆 How’s my math and “ultimate question” answer? Also, staff said CEX may revise trade-in prices soon since many are selling — not sure how true that is.

Can just walk in... Check apple store at 11am or so later. First saw pick up in Nov, but walk in actually got stock. Really weird Apple inventory lately.

I tried my luck last Friday, drop by at TRX, walked in and grab a staff that’s not serving any customer, he said yes fresh stock arrived, no time to even put on the shelf.
