Thai people have consistently earned less than Malaysians, even though Thailand’s economy is larger than Malaysia. Why ah?

if their salary is lower than us, they will never be able to afford it.

plus when agoda was hiring in bkk last time, the salary offered is more or less same as msia

Bangkok cost of living & salary is just as high as KL or even higher.

But outside of Bangkok, development macam takde.

Outside of KL, still got Penang and JB.

Even Melaka/N9 also quite developed.

Like i always say, other than malaysia the rest of south east asian countries like thailand, indon and philippines have way too many people. Their gomen budget, country’s resources cannot support that big population, hence the widespread poverty. Even malaysia i think ideal population is 20-25 million like it was 15-20 years ago

Bangla economy in GDP is almost similar to Malaysia. By that logic, they should earn almost the same as we do??

if on avg, thai has around 70+mil people compared to us 34mil. thats sure to skew the numbers

Big country and population, and there is a divide between the urban and rural area.

Development also focus on certain areas like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khon Kean, Phuket and Rayong.

There are also large chunks of rural area. that are mainly rice fields. The salary may be low, but the cost of living is affordable.
