why people think MSG is bad?
*
because of research flaws back then

Many studies use extremely high doses of MSG (e.g., 1800–30,000 mg/kg/day) that far exceed levels humans consume in food.

Administration Route:
MSG is often administered through gavage (forced tube feeding), subcutaneous, or intraperitoneal injection, which is not relevant to how humans consume MSG through food.

Methodological Flaws:
Studies are often conducted without adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), lack adequate control groups, or use small numbers of animals.

I also recently started using MSG instead of salt at home in my cooking as it has less sodium.

how much MSG you put in? same amount as you put salt previously? why not just put less salt?

MSG lebih berkhasiat dalam makanan berbanding garam.

if it is stir fry, abit of msg is to make food taste better. if it is curry, rendang, soup and masak lemak, MSG can keep already coz there is alot of spice, meat, bawang and stuffs already.

About same amount, but it also adds a good taste, which salt does not.

MSG, salt and sugar are basically concentrated essence/ umami of a food/ liquid.

it's plain stupid to judge MSG. too much MSG will cause thirsty, then how about too much salt and sugar? will still make your food salty and sweet, after that will you drink water?  undeniable MSG will make food taste better in a way, but those are no skill chef's work. this only prove that people who doesn't know how to cook but wanna act vert knowledgeable. shakehead.gif

all ingredients should be use in moderate way to create a better flavor.

When you get older, your sense of taste is get weak. That cause you to eat stronger-tasting food.

The problem is when this stupid people misunderstand, they replace it with salt. But not the amount.

When the amount of salt is the same as that replaced, that increases the sodium intake.

Having too much sodium will cause high blood pressure as you get older.

MSG is less sodium compare to salt. If you cannot take moderate, MSG offers less sodium.

Both will cause your throat dry up and drink more water.
*
Also sodium retains water, need to be mindful for certain patients.

Yes MSG will make food taste better and saltier or sweeter than it is. In this way, you actually will use less salt or sugar.

Chinese restaurant syndrome has been debunked and is now considered not a medical condition. Decades of testing and research is not able to prove that MSG sensitivity is real.
