I am planning to change my roof tiles. currently it is cement tiles.

This is standing seam - expensive setup and install but nice 👏.

Noise and heat - not really an issue if use good insulation. If can do 50mm to 100mm.Best. The thicker, the better.
Aim for min 40kg density.

Durability - usually depends on the material... Go for those that give u 25 years and above warranty. Warranty cert important yeah

Maintenance - technical zero (if 45 degree), however just check for gutter and and side flashing. Sometimes leak is due to gutter jam with leaves and side flashing didn't secure nicely. If it doesn't leak in 1 year, usually it's properly install.
Standing seam is conceal fixing, so u don't really need to up and do resealant on screw joint.

Issues - this kind of roof kalau got issue, very susah to replace by pcs. Don't go for special color as manufacturer sometimes don't keep stock once it run out.

25 years warranty is real.. The issues is after 25 years. Colors fade badly and repainting is a difficult (assuming u are using the existing tiles roof pitch). Because the pan between the rib is wider thus a lousy painter may deform it easily (u see at the MRT /LRT station that uses this design, u can see uneven surface). Having said that... It's on the roof, I doubt u will see it.
Now warranty will be voided if u repaint in within 25 years (take note - so u are virtually stuck with the same color for 25 years).

If where u stay is corrosive (eg factory area or seaside), warranty is shorter.

Do you plan to install solar? If yes, please talk to solar guys whether this is feasible. Usually install not issue, but maintain solar (wash) - where to stand can be an issue.

If ur hse standalone by itself (bungalow) - this is nice. Can check out overseas design. Standing seam banyak pattern.

If linkhse - pray ur installer knows what they are doing.

saved the hassle, just upgrade with clay tiles.

my cousin house using metaldeck. cheap. cannot use clay roof tile as wood structure kena makan by termite and clay tile not easy to buy loose pieces. so using metaldeck+ double foam for some extra quietness.
