what i learn from old people that fungal infection can be worse because of diabetes. fungal are being fed by excess glucose in our blood.
our body can develop their own antibody against those fungal, but it cant make quickly enough if those fungal growth uncontrollably. there is where anti fungal treatment is needed.

I had foot fungus previously. Wash with sulphur shampoo and some mild vinegar mixed with water. Kills the fungus.

already told you that fungal infection will be worse on people who had uncontrolled diabetes.
not only fungal, abscess caused by bacteria can be worse too. this might relate to your case.

other than skin tags, un-resolveable fungal infestation is a one of the way doctor suspect someone have diabetes.

every big GH should have that kind of facilities.
usully doctor will just to do anti fungal regime first, if it helps, continue treatment, main cause is fungal, if not then baru try antibiotics, steroid and others.

Pus oozing out is not a typical presentation of superficial fungal infections unless there's a superimposed bacterial infection.

With no history or drillz included, there's no point discussing this because I don't see how a head CT is indicated unless they're suspecting something like fungal sinusitis which I highly doubt is the case.

You want advice? Tell that person to get a second opinion if they're not satisfied with the level of care they're currently receiving.

see doctor first, pretty sure doc will prescribe some anti-fungal cream for you to try first

if inside sinus cavity, then only that is serious serious problem
