since few month ago my monitor die...
i use back my old lenovo Miix 510...(7 gen)
but it slow and i hard to do work.....

plan to get 2nd hand T480...
but now thinking maybe will just get desktop....
but budget got limited...

old desktop just pentium ....
if get desktop will need complete whole system...
which may blow my budget...

and want limit my power consumption also....

will t480 enough for my usage?

gat a 2nd hand desktop. Those workstation, much powerful than T480 unless you want to carry around.

If limited budget, those i3 10th gen would be powerful enough to do all these.
Can slowly upgrade the parts after that.

t480 just my minimum cos atleast it was 8th gen with 4 core...
and can put 2 battery....

2nd hand Dell or Lenovo desktop around 700-800 gets you 10th gen i3 or i5 processor. These are rock solid PC.

Didnt you say you have 6/7 gen?

For RM 800 nothing useful for work app use as these likely predates 8th gen which is the bare min for Win11 compatible. Win10 is EOL next mth and work apps will start dropping support sooner than later.

EDIT: up budget to RM 1k and target for 2nd hand 9/10th Gen Intel work desktops ie Precision/Deskmate
