I recalled those days after my SPM days and was working a an Electrolux salesman, selling mainly Electrolux vacuum cleaner in Kedah on my trusted C70. We will always go to Kampun to look for potential clients. The kampung folks are friendlier and more approachable. Most of the attap houses looked dilapidated or normal but when you enter the house, it was so well furnished. Thick carpets, expensive curtains, etc. it was then an eye opener for me and some even had marbled floorings. So it is not surprising what the guy in tik tok presented. Malays generally spend more on furnishings than others.

Problem like this is common when your flat dont want expensive maintenance fees. Means no budget to hire own security guards , Building Manager/Executive, to enforce the deed of mutual covenants/house rules…
