FWIW they are not using Punch CVT this time around. Maybe because P2 now also migrating to CVT, P1 feels confident they can re-use it.

Actually no problem with CVT just people hype there is a problem. Using CVT for many years zero problem. Reason just do maintenance on time. Any car also can spoilt if not maintain properly.

doesn't matter punch or not...CVT is still CVT, it's NOT GOOD

if u use CVT, u have to use back the original oil, no choice
if u use 4AT, not only it's 100X more reliable, u can also use alternative oil

LoL. If you don't use or buy the car you never know anything about the car. Listening to people comment that never drive the car and look at the comments is just a crap message. I have used and drive most of the car with CVT & 4AT. No car is perfect.

i never said there are any car is perfect
u want better performance u get CVT
u want maximum reliability and flexibility, u get 4AT

after driving, owning and using all sort of transmission....i end up still loving back conventional transmission, way less headache...if it sucks thn let it be in terms of performance and FC

of course everybody wished they can just dropped in a 5 speed or 6 speed conventional auto but i also know that's damn expensive

I just hate proton's punch cvt

makes me feel driving saga manual more fun , the punch cvt robbing the fun out of this car actually

when I drove back the current saga with 4at it feels smooth

Just too bad nowdays mostly all carmakers uses cvt,come were the days with AT.
And yes since already knw bout crappy cvt,just keep early maintenance fr the oils,me using 1.5t cvt with 2 cars all good n always tekan kaw².
