TLDR, set expectations first before any trip same goes for travelling with friends.

everyone got their own thing they want to do when travelling, so either you set expectations beforehand OR plan the itinerary thoroughly with each other. like i how told my friends i usually wander aimlessly around to explore, so they can feel free to ditch me and do own thing

such simple thing to prevent more future issues

the worse are usually the ones closer to you, thats where you need to make more effort to communicate alot on whats on the itinerary instead of assuming.

thankfully my fiancee is kinda lazy to setup itinerary and just leave it to me, but i would still ask a tonne on what she wants to do and show her pics/videos of the location done by travel vloggers first
