For me 2 things must align before any trips with group of friends, one is interest and another one is spending power.

Yes aviation industry is prone to high divorce rate, breakup, infidelity, etc but so is medicine, entertainment, event management, engineering, pharmaceutical, politics etc.

I have a pilot friend, went through divorce coz his wife cheat on him. Quite kesian coz he is very good looking, but he is faithful and loyal. He was super sad and stressed, then he resigned to open a travel agency. Now he is ok but lost hope in women and relationship.

Previously went for a NZ caravan trip, group of 4, 1 of this girl from SG, i only met her twice previously, but knew my other friend for decade+ from online game. Then this sg girl will suddenly throw tantrum for no reason, she will just get angry and scold ppl and no one in the group understand what triggered her, talk bad about other when the other is not around, and also like to order ppl to do thing like a queen, if u dint do it quick enough, u will trigger her again.

Whole trip is stressful, it's like carrying a bomb around, everyone need to be very careful when she was around. My friend blacklisted her from travel buddy list right after back from the trip lol.

couple that up with
have to be of a certain "physique" to qualify

3. even Medicine due to close interactivity with nurses / patients
4. entertainment & event management
5. list goes on......inc politics yes, maybe even teaching
