TBH university is like base building as work life is specialization based on the base(especially uni society and course work did actually taught u how to work with all kinds of ppl). Other than that, tt also actually gave u aticket. Quite some did not do well in work even with uni education, however people often forget about those who get block off the door without it. Unless u are determined about your future, it is wise to left another route open.

Dont go into hugh debt to get a degree. Spending hundreds of thousand just to get paid 3k is foolish.
Choose a career path wisely cos this is the era of AI, robotics, automation n deglobalisation which affect job security n opportunity.

In Malaysia, I wouldn't worry too much. We have lots of support system for B40 now. Mykasih, petrol subsidy, electricity subsidy, many "one-off" cash gift, etc. You may lead a happier life receiving benefits from government than being taxed all the time.
