KTM no longer has any station in Singapore since Najib PM time, no? Now the last stop is at JB center, integrated with immigration. And then there is an hourly train going to Singapore immigration located at Woodland. Outside the Singapore immigration there is a bus stop with lots of buses which can fetch you to various MRT stations in Singapore, all accepting Malaysia credit cards for fare payment.

That sg immi train station (at woodlands) will soon be demolished once the Shutter Tebrau ceased operation after RTS in operation.
*
I hope Shutter Tebrau would continue as an alternative cos 10k commuters /hour for RTS might not be ideal during peak time.

It is already been planned to shut down once RTS goes into service though.

Compared to China’s HSR or Japanese Shinkansen, it’s about 1/2 of their speed but compared to other countries without high speed rails including US, the speed is actually commendable as it’s the same speed as US highest speed trains.

Yes it will be travelling faster than the highway speed of 110kmh. ETS should be sufficient, money saved from HSR can be used for 2nd/3rd MRT link to SG, transport network in JB n those ETS station towns.
MY future economy now depends on the success of JSSEZ.

In US, Brightline has a maximum speed of 200 kph, Amtrak Acela has a maximum speed of 250 kph.

The US high-speed train with the highest current top speed is the NextGen Acela, reaching 160 mph on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. However, Brightline's upcoming high-speed rail line, Brightline West, will reach a higher top speed of 190 mph when it opens between Las Vegas and Los Angeles in 2028.

ETS trains can reach a record speed of 176 km/h but they usually run at 120 to 160 km/h.

Should convert all the mph to kph, so that the readers have a better idea.

Nice I want to take this train.

Hopefully can do it. 160km/hr is no slough . Of course 200km/hr is even better!!!

Will they have like family coaches, or beds for trips from JB all the way to Butterworth for example?

from RM 77 BTS to Kluang, then Kluang spend another RM 15 to JB, total 4.5 hours
if ETS JB open also 4 Hours

bus RM 40, which one you want to take ?
*
I would take ETS to JB and then RTS to Singapore instead of bus or flight or self drive.
